Safety
Safety (for the Bali Aqua team, our guests, and the ocean) is our top priority. All divers must follow the rules provided by our staff during the boat briefing and the predive briefing. Guests who fail to comply will not be permitted to dive or continue their training.
Health
Guests must be in good physical health and not have any preexisting medical conditions that may put them at risk while participating in water activities. If there are any concerns, please consult with a medical professional. Alcohol and drug consumption are strictly prohibited before and during activities at Bali Aqua. You are responsible to ensure you are physically and mentally prepared before you arrive at Bali Aqua. PADI courses and dive experiences will require a medical form prior to any in-water activities.
Dive Certification
All fun divers must be certified by a recognized scuba organization. Bali Aqua will require proof of certification before participation in dive activities. All Continuing Education students must provide proof of prior certification before the start of the course. Bali Aqua will not take divers deeper than allowed by their certification level.
No Decompression Diving
All dives at Bali Aqua are no decompression dives. We do not allow any divers, regardless of certification level or experience, to conduct decompression dives. This is for the safety of all guests and our staff.
Liability Waiver
All guests must sign a liability waiver acknowledging the risks involved with scuba diving or snorkeling before participating in water activities.
Confirming a reservation
To confirm a reservation with Bali Aqua, a 50% deposit is required. Your reservation is not secure until payment is received. The balance must be received before the start of training (for courses & experiences) or before boarding the boat (for dive/snorkel trips).
Weather & Ocean Conditions
Scheduled dive sites are subject to change due to ocean conditions (tides, currents, waves, visibility, etc). We reserve the right to cancel, move, or reschedule any activities if conditions are deemed unsafe.
Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that plans may change. If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible before your scheduled activity. See Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy below for more details.
Rental Equipment
You are responsible for all Bali Aqua equipment used during your activities. We will charge the cost of repair or replacement for any lost or damaged equipment.
Photography and Video
Photography and video recording are encouraged, but please be respectful of other divers and the marine environment. Do not touch or disturb any marine life or coral.
Code of Conduct
We expect all divers to behave in a respectful and responsible manner toward our staff, other guests, and the ocean environment. Photography and videography is encouraged when conducted in a respectful manner. Any diver who engages in behavior deemed inappropriate by our staff may be asked to leave without a refund.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may prevent you from participating in your scheduled activities with Bali Aqua. In the unlikely event that cancellation or rescheduling is necessary, we ask you to read the following information carefully.
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible. You may cancel your reservation by WhatsApp, email, or in person.
If payment was made in cash, the refund will be given in cash. If payment was made by transfer, we will arrange a transfer for the refund. (Please note that it may take several days to process this transfer.) If the payment was made by credit card, a 14% refund fee will be deducted from the refund amount to cover the bank fees and other charges Bali Aqua incurs for credit card charges.
Illness: If a guest needs to cancel their activity due to illness, a refund may be available at the discretion of Bali Aqua. To be eligible for this refund, the guest must provide proof of illness in the form of a medical doctor certificate. This certificate must be submitted within 12 hours of the scheduled start time of the activity. Any operational costs already incurred by the company will be deducted from the refund amount.
Rescheduling Options: If you need to reschedule your dive, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be made at least 24 hours in advance. If you reschedule within 24 hours of your scheduled dive, additional fees will apply to cover the costs that the company already incurred for your initial booking.
Cancellation during a program: If a participant decides to cancel a dive during a day trip already started, there will be no refund. It’s important to ensure that you are physically fit to dive. Individuals who are prone to motion sickness should take appropriate measures to increase their comfort level well in advance of boarding the vessel. We have seasickness medication available at the dive shop free of charge.
Refunds Due to Weather Conditions: In the unlikely event that we cancel your activity due to unfavorable weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstance beyond our control, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. (not applicable on dive site scheduled)
Deposit: Please note that a 50% deposit is required to secure your course. Once we send you the PADI e-learning materials, the deposit becomes non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation, the e-learning course and PADI certification credit are yours to use with any PADI center, anywhere, anytime.
If payment was made in cash, the refund will be given in cash. If payment was made by transfer, we will arrange a transfer for the refund. (Please note that it may take several days to process this transfer.) If the payment was made my credit card, a 14% refund fee will be deducted from the refund amount to cover the bank fees and other charges Bali Aqua incurs for credit card charges.
Rescheduling:
Please note that our cancellation and rescheduling policies are in place because reserving a spot in the course prevents us from booking someone else in that spot.
Cancellation mid-course: If a participant cancels their PADI course after starting, they will receive a referral that can be used to complete the course at any PADI Dive Center within 1 year. If the cancellation occurs after the first day of the course, a refund will be provided for 1 day out of a 3-day course, minus the online course fee.
Additional training: Our courses and dive experiences can be completed within the allocated time frame. However, additional time for training can be arranged (depending on instructor availability) if you require. Extra fees will apply for the additional instructor time, pool time, and/or boat dives.
eLearning: PADI courses and experiences have an eLearning component. Once we receive your deposit, we will send the eLearning to you. This must be completed prior to the start of your course. If you do not complete your eLearning, we will reschedule your course (based on availability) and additional fees will apply for the additional day of instructor time.
We understand that cancellations can be inconvenient, and we will do our best to work with you in these situations. We always recommend travel insurance as this may help to cover costs incurred by a last minute cancellation or change of plans. If you have any questions or concerns about our cancellation and refund policy, please do not hesitate to contact us when making your booking.
